The Brixton’s Last Waltz

Maybe you’ve heard the news, maybe you haven’t. But here it is again: after about a year, we’re shutting down the Brixton. Long story short, we started out with a general contractor who was in way over his head, and those costs made keeping our head above water with this venue more challenging than we could handle. Sadly, this week will be the Brixton’s last. We’re going out with a bang, though. The Brixton’s final weekend is packed with live music – Thursday happy hour has blues masters Jim Martin and the Fallen Souls. Friday night is the party rock stylings of Emerald City. And Saturday night we’re “stayin’ alive” with everyone’s favorite disco throwbacks, LeFreak! So while we’re a little bummed to have to go in a different direction, we’re still stoked to party with the amps turned up to eleven one last time. Please join us this week as we send the Brixton off to live music heaven and get ready to get down when the space reopens as VNYL, Plano’s first and only nightclub!

One more thing: while our dream to run a music venue didn’t pan out like we planned, we are incredibly grateful to our staff, customers, and all the musicians who graced our stage and played their hearts out. Thank y’all so much!

Memorial Day Weekend

Patio season is in full swing, and this coming weekend has the added the bonus of an added day, so we hope to see your faces smiling behind a pint or a rocks glass at one of our outdoor tables. No matter what, though, don’t forget why we have Monday off – while you’re enjoying a drink in the sun, give some thoughts of gratitude to all of the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to make America what it is today!
